Alegrias de Cai

A legend in Andalusia, his first album is a masterpiece. A mixture of rock, flamenco and jazz seasoned with others spices, highly recommended for his blunt and direct colorist. The most important band born in “La tacita de Plata (the silver cup)”.

His first record dates from 1978 and last record is "Mucho Más Allá de Nuestras Mentes Diminutas" (2008), a double disc produced by Chano Dominguez including the reissue of the first disc, plus unreleased studio recordings and live performances.

His second album "Noche Abierta" is considered a masterpiece and was introduced at the time in TVE (spanish national public tv) and was included in the popular Planet Encyclopedia from journalist Jose Ramon Pardo. The third album was " Canción de la Primavera (Song of Spring)" in 1981

His concert at the Teatro José María Pemán last summer of 2007 brought together nearly 2,000 Cádiz in a new meeting after a longer break in a memorable night and a few months beforethe band was "cartel" of the Legendary Festival of Lago de Bornos returned under the symbol the Guadalcaiman.

The group maintains its history of the hands of its drummer and singer Diego Fopiani and the guitarists Paco Delgado and Jose Antonio Mariscal and two young musicians, Blas Lago (piano and keyboards) and Ignacio Olivera (bass and vocals) creating a quintet with a large cohesion and strength to live.

The month of September training participates in the prestigious Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla ( more 5,000 people ) and at the Festival of Music Advanced Jerez de la Frontera where artists have participated as Jean Luc Ponty, Trilok Gurtu, Mercan Dede,etc. and last October 3 Cai gave a emblematic concert at the Modern Theater of Chiclana with a fantastic public delivered to a concert that was presented with music of yesterday and today. It was a great night.

CAI will enter into studies to record a new album in the next year 2009.
